Volare (Fliegen)
One day, Anna B. realises that she has to do something. She is a successful actress but suffers from a panic fear of flying, which she doesn't want to admit to the outside world. She has just lost the coveted leading role in the new film by a famous Korean director to a rival because she couldn't bring herself to fly to Seoul. In the action TV series in which she stars, she has to be doubled more and more often in flight scenes. And now her daughter has also been awarded a scholarship in California. And so Anna finally enrols on a one-week course to overcome her fear of flying, which takes place in a remote corner of Rome's Fiumicino airport. Of course, her participation is to remain top secret. Easier said than done...
In her directorial debut, Margherita Buy, one of the most popular actresses in Italian cinema, succeeds in creating an extremely entertaining comedy with depth, based on autobiographical experiences. And with a hilarious starring role for Anna Bonaiuto, who, as Anna B.'s stressed agent, tries everything she can to get a grip on the chaos that breaks out.
