Powerful Pulse approaches the devastating impact of war and conflict on societies and individuals. At one point, a photograph sparks an intense reflection; at another, two boys draw us into their everyday life in a Ukrainian city. The question of how we’re really doing grows more urgent—on a remote island just as in the depths of artificial intelligence. But before everything falls apart, an orchestra in rehearsal rises forcefully one final time—making us feel the horror and inviting us to reflect. (db)
