Vienna Shorts: My Own Private Program
Film programming is a form of storytelling. What could be more intimate than telling one's own story through it? "Over the past four years, I have served as the sole programmer of the short film sections at Reykjavík IFF, where radical visions and formal experimentation have been at the forefront," says Pedro Emilio Segura Bernal. "This program is conceived as a kind of abstract diary—a personal cartography of my journey during this period as a programmer. Each of these tender, playful, and touching personally selected works forms part of this evolving narrative, shaped with the generosity of the filmmakers whose films have become essential chapters in this ongoing story." Each year, we invite two festivals to join us in exploring our thematic Focus. The resulting programs (Triangle) are then presented at all three festivals.
