Under the Grey Sky

Belarus, 2020. Following Lukashenko's rigged presidential election, protests continue in the country. Lena, a journalist critical of the regime, reports on the violent suppression of a peaceful demonstration. She is targeted by a police drone, but continues her reporting and is arrested. Lena's husband Ilya prepares to leave the country as soon as Lena is released from custody. However, the regime has no intention of releasing her.

This gripping feature film is inspired by the story of Belarusian journalist couple Igor Ilyash and Katsiaryna Andreyeva. Andreyeva was arrested in November 2020 and is currently serving her eight-year prison sentence in a Belarusian prison.
