Un tango más (Ein letzter Tango)

They were the model couple of Argentine tango: María Nieves and Juan Carlos Copes met in a dimly lit club in Buenos Aires in the 1950s. The two were soon regarded as the "Ginger and Fred" of Argentine tango and brought the "Tango Argentino" to the world's major theatre stages. No man danced like Juan and no woman like María. They were on stage together for almost half a century, separated and reunited. "There will never be another tango couple like us. I think we were the dancing couple of the 20th century," says María, who is now 80 years old.

Documentary filmmaker Germán Kral managed to persuade the couple to meet again - for one last tango. The two of them review their lives in front of the camera. Elegant flashbacks, furious tango interludes and an exquisite soundtrack create a moving and captivating portrait.

UN TANGO MÁS, produced by Wim Wenders, is touching, visually impressive and at the same time an enjoyable film - not just for tango fans.
