Two for the Road

Joanna (Audrey Hepburn) and Mark Wallace (Albert Finney) have now been married for twelve years. They lack nothing materially, thanks to Mark's work as an architect.

However, a trip to the Riviera reveals the cracks in their relationship. Mistrust, coldness and disinterest have ensured that the happy couple of yesteryear no longer get on as well as they used to. Joanna remembers how hopeful and exuberant the first few months were and how little of that is left. Soon they are both toying with the idea of whether it wouldn't make more sense to go their separate ways...
