Tricky Women/Tricky Realities Shorts

The Vienna festival TRICKY WOMEN is dedicated to the diversity of international animated films made by women*. 11 films tell of TRICKY REALITIES @ WORK, including THE MEATSELLER by Margherita Giusti, which tells the escape story of a young Nigerian woman in hand-painted images. ART OF THE CUT honours the great editor Anne V. Coates, who received the Oscar ® for Best Film Editing for LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. WOMAN finds poetic images for the feminist revolution in Iran. Humorous deconstruction meets sensitive confrontation with complex realities. Animated films by women* are colourful, thought-provoking, quirky, documentary, playful and much more.
