Treasure of the Four Crowns (3D)
In 1981, the team consisting of actor-producer Tony Anthony, co-screenwriter Lloyd Battista, and director Ferdinando Baldi were among the pioneers of another Hollywood 3D wave with the western Comin' at Ya! However, their spatial film masterpiece came two years later with Treasure of the Four Crowns, a film so over-the-top in its play with the motifs and themes of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) that Steven Spielberg's original seems like an attempt at neorealism in comparison—Indy didn't shoot fire from his fingertips, for example! In addition to its eccentric story and truly unpredictable development of the protagonist, the film also captivates with its amazing 3D ideas – here, apparitions reach out for the audience in a way that you won't see anywhere else!
