To Kill A Tiger

Jharkand, India: When his 13-year-old daughter is dragged into the forest and raped by three men, Ranjit, the girl's father, decides to report the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice. In doing so, he violates the convention of the village, which urges him to marry off his daughter to one of the rapists instead. A gripping odyssey begins that touches, enrages but also honors the strength of Ranjit and his daughter. Despite the culture-specific circumstances, Nisha Pahuja's documentary exposes rape myths that sound all too familiar around the world.
