The Wedding Banquet
Angela and her partner Lee have long wanted to have children, but the necessary medical treatment is beyond their budget. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Min, the unmarried son of a wealthy business family, has no money problems, but his student visa is about to expire. Frustrated by his partner Chris' unwillingness to commit, Min makes an unconventional proposal: a pragmatic green card marriage with Angela in exchange for an expensive IVF insemination for her partner Lee. But the plan to secretly go through with this arrangement is thwarted when Min's grandmother spontaneously arrives from South Korea and insists on a big wedding celebration.
