The Warriors

New York City, late 1970s: The city is populated by hundreds of gangs, all of whom observe a truce to prevent turf wars. But at a meeting of all the gangs, gang boss Cyrus is murdered and everyone believes it was the Warriors. The gang must fight their way back from the Bronx through the urban jungle to Coney Island with the help of the underground.
THE WARRIORS is based on a novel by Sol Yurick, which in turn is based on Xenophon's Anabasis, a story about the retreat of the Greek mercenaries.
