The Quiet Migration
19-year-old Carl lives a quiet country life in Denmark with his adoptive parents, who expect him to take over the family farm one day and carry on their tradition. However, Carl feels the need to explore his South Korean roots before he can make this decision. Malene Choi also grew up in Denmark as an adopted South Korean child. Here, in the second part of a planned trilogy on the subject of adoption, she tells a story about growing up and a sense of belonging with subtle humour and discreet use of surreal elements.
