The Pink Panther
A cunning jewel thief, known as ‘the Phantom’, gives the police grey hairs. Especially when he behaves as clumsily as Inspector Clouseau, whom he repeatedly eludes. The trail of his latest coup leads Clouseau to the winter sports resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The wealthy Princess Dala von Lugasch is also holidaying there - with a legendary diamond in her luggage. And the chaos takes its course ... Peter Ustinov was originally intended for the role of Clouseau, but withdrew at the last minute, so Peter Sellers stepped in and became the attraction of the film with his unique comedic talent. And while Blake Edwards demonstrates his knack for comic choreography with millimetre precision, Henry Mancini created a theme tune for eternity.
