The Life of Sean Delear
Sean DeLear was part of the queer music and art underground scene of the late 1990s and early 2000s, as the dazzling frontman of the post-punk combo Glue in Los Angeles and a member of the art collective Gelitin in Vienna. Between the limelight and wild party nights, DeLear's camcorder recordings and diary entries from his teenage years tell of a life that resembled a performance and ended far too soon.
DeLear entrusted his friend and director Markus Zizenbacher with his private audiovisual archive. He weaves DeLear's material and interviews with companions into an eclectic collage and homage to Sean. THE LIFE OF SEAN DELEAR is a vibrant and energetic portrait of this irresistibly charismatic character.
