The Last Temptation of Christ

A visually stunning, not entirely biblical epic featuring stars from the film and music industries, which focuses on the fleshly Jesus, his image of his father, his doubts and his last great dream. The original work was already banned by the Church, so it was only logical that the film, which – as Scorsese emphasises – is based on a fictional exploration of spiritual conflict, did not meet with their approval either.
