The Gesuidouz
With lyrics about zombies, Freddy Krueger, and Michael Myers, Hanako and her band The Gesuidouz are rocking out a new single for their upcoming album. Their rural neighbors, however, look on in bewilderment, waiting impatiently for the group to put away their instruments and finally start milking the cows. Just a few months ago, this colorful punk rock ensemble was still performing their horror ballads in run-down dives, while a handful of local patrons loitered around in disinterest. Even their manager had long since given up hope for the band’s success. As a last-ditch attempt at a breakthrough, it was suggested they move to the countryside and produce a monumental hit there, earning their keep by helping out with various farm chores in the village.
So the group barrels into this new rural idyll in a graffiti-covered minivan, with a talking Shiba Inu pup in tow. Lead singer Hanako doesn’t want to waste any time: before her upcoming birthday, she intends to write the greatest horror-movie-themed punk rock album in history. After all, in her view, every true rock legend has to die once the big 27 looms on the horizon…
