At first glance, they seem like an unlikely pair, but true friendship knows no bounds: Kyuta is a lonely, parentless boy who wanders around the Shibuya district of Tokyo, living from day to day. But one day, he enters an imaginative parallel world populated by supernatural beings. This realm is not supposed to overlap with the real world, which is why Kyuta upsets the delicate balance that had prevailed until then. Lost and searching for a way back, he encounters Kumatetsu, a beast who is also lonely. But despite his wild appearance, he is friendly towards the little boy and takes him under his wing. Kumatetsu teaches him various things and together they set off on exciting adventures – wielding a katana if necessary.
