A spider escapes an isolated Arizona desert laboratory experimenting in giant madness and grows to enormous size while wreaking havoc on the local population.

Before the film there will be a short story reading (5 min.) by MICHAEL BLIHALL, author of a series of fantasy novels. On this evening he will read from his short story ‘Cleopatra’. This much we can reveal - it's also about an ever-growing spider...

After the film, Michael Blihall will tell us interesting facts about TARANTULA and Jack Arnold.
