The meerkat Tafiti is delighted to have finally found a friend in the brush pig Pinsel, even though his family wants him to stay away from strangers. The joy is short-lived when Pinsel unintentionally attracts the attention of a snake, which then bites Tafiti's grandfather. Thus begins a great adventure for the little meerkat: only a rare blue flower that grows behind the desert can save the senior citizen.
