Světlo pro budoucnost – Das Licht für die Zukunft
Three 90-year-old eyewitnesses who lived through the Second World War in Bohemia and Moravia bring their childhood and youth memories from 1943 to 1952 to life. Elfriede fled to Austria in 1945, and Ewa was lucky enough to escape from the internment camp to Bavaria with her mother, sister and brother after the savage expulsion in 1945. Emma's family was not expelled from Czechoslovakia, but was resettled from the Bohemian Forest to the Ore Mountains in 1948, where her father and brother had to work in uranium mining. Today, all three are committed to cross-border dialogue. The documentary film is framed by quotes from the writings of the Renaissance philosopher, theologian and doctor Marsilio Ficino.
