Sterne sehen
On 21 December, 20:30, in the presence of Johann Lurf
Cinematographic views from a human perspective on the starry skies of film history: a concept film that gets longer with each projection, is supplemented by examples from 1895 to the present and thus takes up part of its motif as a work: infinity. Sitting in the cinema, we look at white dots on a black background, light and shadow. In the process, our own gaze is thrown back on itself and questioned about its conditions, in order to simultaneously demonstrate the changes in these conditions in the history of cinema: along all common image formats, on the basis of the various qualities from early film grain to the high-resolution sea of pixels and from the silence of early cinema to the soundscapes of the digital present.
