The films in SKIN DEEP explore the edges of the self. Bodies twist, fold and stretch, collide with one another, observe and mirror each other. Each work is a searching gesture, an attempt to understand what it might mean to inhabit a self that is inevitably connected to another, shaped by it and in dialogue with it. After all, the self emerges in and through relationships.
