Simpel

Ben and his brother Barnabas, called Simpel, are inseparable. Simpel is 22, but mentally at the level of a child. After the sudden death of their mother, he is sent to a home - unimaginable for Ben. The brothers flee, hijack a police car and make their way to Hamburg to find their father. When he rejects Simpel, the situation escalates and Simpel runs away. A dramatic search begins. Everything threatens to topple over on the roof of a furniture store - but Ben reaches him in time. Simpel finds a new home in Haus Sonnengarten, and Ben has to learn to let go.
