Simon S.: Salzburger Filmnachwuchspreis

In 2023, the city of Salzburg has announced the award for young filmmakers for the 6th time. Salzburg cinema pioneer Simon Stampfer is its namesake.

The main prize is endowed with € 5,000 and a prize sculpture. An expert jury has nominated the following six films from a total of 23 submissions:

- In The Upper Room by Alexander Gratzer
- §201 to §220 by Noah Hatz
- Tell Me Something Nice by Amina Rosa Krami & Nola Anwar
- Enter Mycel by Daniel Limmer
- Letter from a Friend by Renato Unterberg & Stefanie Weberhofer
- Recordings of a weather camera by Bernhard Wenger
