In summer, Salzburg is not only a meeting place for high culture and adorables, but also the scene of a crime: the son-in-law of the festival president lies dead at the foot of the Mönchsberg. Suicide, supposedly. The widow hires Brenner, now a department store detective, who takes up the investigation with Berti, which leads them deep into a boys' convent - and even deeper into what could be called the Austrian mentality.
