During a week-long furlough from prison, an Iranian human rights activist must decide whether to flee into exile in Germany with her family or return to prison and stand by other women.
Maryam, an Iranian human rights activist, is granted a seven-day medical leave from the notorious Evin Prison. She is happy to see her mother and brother again. But they present her with a difficult decision: they have secretly organized her escape across the Turkish-Iranian border mountains with her husband, who lives in Germany. The film tells a deeply moving story of sacrifice, resistance, and the power of family ties.
