Sie glauben an Engel, Herr Drowak?
The optimistic, life-loving student Lena (Luna Wedler), enrolled in German studies and puppetry, takes on a job as a writing therapist on behalf of the “Office for Peace and Order.” However, her course has only a single participant: Hugo Drowak (Karl Markovics), a lonely, elderly misanthrope full of bitterness—an alcoholic who has barricaded himself behind empty bottles and seems largely unreachable.
But Lena is not discouraged. Her spirited ambition unexpectedly awakens Drowak’s literary talent. Lena is enchanted by his poetry about love and magic. And the deeper Drowak delves into his memories, the more powerfully suppressed demons begin to surface within him. Lena struggles to protect Drowak from himself and to help him believe in the good in life once again.
