Duration128min.

The civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr. has just received the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize. But his campaign for equal rights continued. He speaks to US President Lyndon B. Johnson in order to achieve a reform of voting rights, as many African-Americans are still effectively excluded from voting. Johnson asks for patience. The governor of Alabama, George Wallace, even wanted to sabotage all of King's efforts. The protest explodes when an African American is shot by police in the city of Selma and later succumbs to his injuries.
