In the service of science, the two researchers Max and Albert volunteer for a three-year deep sleep experiment. When they wake up again, however, they have become 50. The earth is contaminated with nuclear waste and the survivors live in underground cities. There is one good thing about the future, however: there are no more men in this brave new world. Bad news for the two relics from the past, who now have to be integrated into the new social order, if necessary by force ... Machulski's amusing science fiction gender war satire is not only full of allusions to the approaching end of the Eastern Bloc and takes aim at state propaganda, but also criticises totalitarian systems and their prudery.
