Schatten der Weltstadt

Ellen Richter's darkest film. After murdering her husband, a prefect who appeared gallant on the outside but was in reality brutal and sadistic, Olly Bernard (Ellen Richter) is put on trial. The abused and humiliated woman is acquitted, but in order to restore her reputation, she sets out on her own to search for the real culprit in the Parisian underworld.
