Saxophon-Susi
Berlin in the 1920s: Jazz spills over from America into the old world and finds its way into theatres, revues, coffee houses and concert halls. Annie, a spoilt daughter from a good family, is also infected by this new virus and is determined to become a dancer, just like her best friend Susi. Without further ado, the two swap identities - and from then on, they hit the nightlife circuit together ... Unmistakably set in the decade of the flappers and it-girls, the film celebrates the joie de vivre and newly discovered self-confidence of young women as well as their enthusiasm for jazz and dance. A brisk pace, good humour and right in the middle of it all, as a rising star on the dance floor: the ravishing Anny Ondra!
