Sānsūr

Six Iranian women speak about life in a country that demands their silence. Six women who courageously and often creatively defy the written and unwritten boundaries of Iran. They all know that there are consequences to not bowing to censorship: dismissal, harassment and arrest. But none of them is willing to accept rules that oppress women in their quest for freedom. The film shows the unwavering spirit of Iranian women and their struggle for freedom and the enjoyment of their rights in Iran.
