Rojbash

ROJBASH tells the story of a group of Kurdish theatre actors who want to restage a play they performed 25 years ago. Despite the time that has passed, they feel confronted with the challenges of Kurdish identity and face numerous obstacles. In addition to internal conflicts, they are faced with the problem of relating the play to the present, while the existing stages are sealed. At the centre of the film is the actors' determination to continue rehearsals despite all adversity, and the performance is portrayed as a form of resistance. The actors portray themselves, giving the film a semi-documentary feel.
