RoboCop (1987)

Following the privatisation of the police force, Detroit's fight against crime in the near future is in the hands of the mega-corporation OCP, which promises the perfect law enforcement officer in the form of the ED-209 combat robot. But when a malfunction during the presentation of the machine leads to a fatal accident, the management gives the green light for the further development of an alternative security concept: a massive cyborg is to ensure law and order on the streets as ‘RoboCop’. To bring the humanoid robot to life, it is implanted with the brain of Alex Murphy, a police officer who was fatally wounded during an operation. But Murphy's memory was not completely erased during the transplant. Haunted by flashing memories, RoboCop sets off on his own initiative in search of the murderers of his former self.
