Lima in the summer of 1992. Elena and her daughters Lucia and Aurora are preparing to leave Peru, where social and political unrest is spreading, for the United States. The three face their departure with mixed emotions – saying goodbye to their country, their family and friends, and to Carlos, the girls’ father and Elena’s ex-husband.
