Pünktchen und Anton
Pünktchen and Anton, based on the beloved children’s classic by Erich Kästner, is a warm-hearted, exciting, and deeply thoughtful story about friendship, courage, and social justice.
Luise, nicknamed “Pünktchen” (Elea Geissler), lives in a wealthy household—but money doesn’t necessarily mean happiness. Her parents are often preoccupied with their own lives, and the housekeeper exploits her, using her to beg for money on the streets. There, Pünktchen meets Anton (Max Felder), a boy her age who is in real trouble: his mother is ill, money is tight, and Anton does everything he can to help her.
Despite their differences, a genuine and heartwarming friendship blossoms between the two children. Together they face small and big adventures, stand up to injustice, and show that compassion and solidarity know no social class. When they discover that a crime is being plotted against Pünktchen’s family, they prove just how strong they are together.

PÜNKTCHEN AND ANTON is a story about friendship, courage, and class consciousness. I love it—just as much now as I did 15 years ago.
