An unemployed circus clown accidentally stumbles across a large quantity of cocaine, which he now wants to sell himself ... Novotny's fast-paced contribution to the ‘better TATORT’ met with little approval from his client ARD due to the explicit depictions of violence and ended ORF's involvement in the Sunday evening crime series - appropriately titled POLIZEIRUF 133 - after just two episodes. Twenty years earlier, in the up-and-coming series IMPULSE, for which Novotny shot seven episodes, he recreated the murder of an elderly lady in her flat - as a kind of precursor to today's popular true crime formats.
