Play Safe (Donnerwetter, Monty Banks!)

PLAY SAFE premiered in the USA in 1927 and was released in Germany in 1928 as DONNERWETTER, MONTY BANKS! Paul Morgan and Hermann Kosterlitz adapted the film for German audiences, creating a version that ‘defies all logic’. The silent film, believed to be lost, was rediscovered in 2024 in the Berlin Federal Archives. Slapstick at its finest – including a wild horse ride and spectacular car and train journeys at breakneck speed.
