Peter Weibel: Ist das Kunst?

A veritable tour de force through the wild, anarchic (short film) work of Peter Weibel and Friends from the late 1960s to the present day. In HERNALS by Hans Scheugl, Peter Weibel and VALIE EXPORT stroll through the suburbs as a quarrelsome couple; shortly afterwards, in TAPP UND TASTKINO, he encourages passers-by to grab her breast, and finally she leads him through the city centre on all fours on a dog lead (WOMEN'S POWER). In his legendary avant-garde media performances for ORF, he measures, explores and questions the relationship between images and sounds and us viewers (HAUSMUSIK). In addition to excursions into advertising, for example for Casablanca cigarettes, with the founding of the Hotel Morphila Orchestra together with Loys Egg, he embarks on a path that combines new wave aesthetics and art rock (SEX IN DER STADT) in an innovative way right up to today's digital age.
