At the invitation of the US Information Service, audience favourite Josef Meinrad travels to America as the Columbus of the 20th century, so to speak, where he visits theatres and the locations of plays and wants to learn about the American way of life and culture, which - surprisingly from today's perspective - turns out to be quite fond of theatre.
