Between 1919 and 1925, a handful of films set in Jewish circles and tailored to a Jewish audience were made in Austria, including this outstanding comedy in which Eastern Orthodox and Western assimilated Judaism clash. Molly and her father, a millionaire who emigrated to the USA, have travelled to Poland for the wedding of a close relative. The young, cheeky, lively woman, who likes to put on her boxing gloves in her spare time, has virtually nothing to do with tradition and the simple life in the shtetl. Misunderstandings are therefore inevitable when Molly stages a wedding ceremony with Talmud student Ruben for fun, because the game suddenly turns deadly serious: with the ring on her finger, she is married according to Jewish rites.

With live musical accompaniment by the Wladigeroff Brothers:
Alexander and Konstantin Wladigeroff have played their way to the top of the international jazz scene with their groovy mix of traditional Balkan songs and original compositions, European jazz and classical elements. With their unique musical talent, joie de vivre and energy, the Bulgarian twins thrill audiences.
