Once upon a time in a forest & Elegy for a Glacier

In Once upon a time in a forest, we are immersed in the idyllic Finnish forests in fairytale-like images. But 90 per cent of Finland's forest area is already in commercial use and has long since become the object of economic interests. A new forest movement is fighting against this. Together with other activists, Ida is campaigning against the exploitation of nature, taking on the forest industry and challenging the entrenched opinions of her fellow human beings. Is there still hope for a happy ending?

Elegy for a Glacier revolves around a similar conflict but inverted in its generational question. The views of a resigned glacier researcher and her mother, a radical environmental activist, intersect here. The melting ice in their hometown makes it clear that the world is changing.
