Within just a few months, Brynych shoots three films (and numerous television series) in Munich, with which he not only inscribes himself into the heart of the city, but also into the hearts of all those film fans who have been celebrating his ecstatic floods of images and sound ever since. Anna, a pubescent girl from a good family, begins to discover herself and becomes increasingly confused in the process: her parents are uninterested in her, the nuns at the convent school prove to be hardly suitable conversation partners, and her boyfriend Robert is no help either. She rehearses her escape ... It is impressive how this whirlwind of a film is able to translate Anna's thoughts and feelings into storms of images. OH HAPPY DAY - a more beautiful coming-of-age film has not been seen for a long time.
