Of Dogs and Men
Dani Rosenberg's documentary-feature film hybrid follows 16-year-old Dar. She returns to her kibbutz, which was destroyed on October 7, to look for her dog – she can't search for her mother because, like so many others, she was abducted to Gaza by Hamas.
Dar is played by an actress, but the destroyed kibbutz is real and so are the survivors she encounters. The rocket streaks in the sky are not special effects, as the film was shot at the original locations just a few weeks after October 7.
