As part of the Indian government's Bharatmala program, highways are being built at an unprecedented rate to open up new areas for the emerging middle class. The documentary looks at the construction of one such road, the Dwarka Expressway outside Delhi, and tells the story of working class neighborhoods that were demolished for it, of construction workers who can never afford to live in gated communities and of protests against unbridled road construction.
