Austria, you're welcome!
Please, Austria!

Meet the four national treasures Der Kuseng, Steffi Stankovic, Toxische Pommes and host Denice Bourbon, to find out just HOW lucky Austria is to have them here! Why is an accent not seen as OK, but a gibberish dialect is? What's the point of putting poppy seeds in cakes? Can the ‘Who is the better Ausländerin?’ game be considered an Austrian Volkssport? Join the PCCC* stars for an evening full of laughter and stories that will make you cringe off your seats. All in the gorgeous mish-mash language we like to call Denglisch!

PCCC*, the Politically Correct Comedy Club, is a queer comedy for a queer audience and their fans and friends based in Vienna, Austria. In a comic pool of more than 30 performers, you'll meet dancers, graphic designers, rappers, teachers, life embracers, wine drinkers; all having one thing in common: a funny story to tell. Hosted by Denice Bourbon

Obtaining citizenship appears to be a genuine challenge in Austria. This is also the case for director Olga Kosanović, who, despite being born and raised in Austria, has not yet been able to obtain citizenship. In a comment in a daily newspaper about her case, someone writes: ‘When a cat gives birth in the Imperial Riding School, that doesn't mean the kittens are Lipizzaner horses.’ Demarcation creates a sense of identity and cohesion: a strong sense of ‘us.’ What concept of identity underlies legislation that divides society into “us” and ‘them’? A film about belonging – and the director's second attempt to (finally) belong (completely). With actors and interviewees such as Toxische Pommes, Judith Kohlenberger, Robert Menasse and many more.
