The boasts of a neighbour who has emigrated to Germany and is on holiday in his Yugoslavian home village awaken Filip Zaja's hopes of a paradise on earth. A short time later, he is on the train to Frankfurt. But shortly after arriving, he loses all illusions. Following in Zaja's footsteps, Bogdan Žižić dives into Frankfurt in the 1970s and traces how the hopes of Yugoslav labour migrants clash with the bitter reality of West Germany. In front of it: people on one of the special trains that transport labourers from Zagreb to Munich, talking about their hopes for a less meagre life and more money. Krsto Papić combines the perspective of the recruited labourers with a documentation of the logistics of the recruitment agreement. (Fabian Tietke/red)
