My First Slash 2025
In the hope of awakening a lifelong interest in fantastic film and welcoming it into the SLASH family, we are once again presenting a family-friendly short film program this year. It is dedicated to the blossoming imagination and curiosity of a younger audience and is sure to bring laughter to people of all ages.
Life in nature is not always as peaceful as it seems. Between green trees, paradisiacal beaches, and blooming gardens, dangers lurk that must be overcome. When a mystical darkness transforms fertile ground into a lifeless forest, the neighboring golf course spells disaster for garden gnomes, or a little turtle must fight for its survival, fearlessness and ingenuity are required. Luckily, at SLASH we are never short on imagination, and we know that even painful losses, seemingly hopeless situations, or pranks that may have gone a bit too far can be overcome with a healthy dose of humor and solidarity. What if a well-deserved break in the sun is disturbed by annoying clouds, the snoring of a bed neighbor reaches an as-yet-unknown dimension, or a power nap turns into a wild trip through the world of worms and maggots? Find out—and while you’re at it, train your laughing muscles, make unexpected friendships, and enjoy a good chill down your spine!
