My First Slash

Everyone is welcome, especially families and children (aged 7 or older).

Hoping to inspire a lifelong interest in Fantastic Film and welcome it into the SLASH family, this year we are once again presenting a family-friendly short film programme dedicated to the blossoming imagination and curiosity of a younger audience that will make people of all ages laugh.

Life is not easy. You're plagued by pesky birds, you have to stand up to cruel villains, you wait in drought for the much-anticipated rain and all the chaos of the outside world can be really intimidating. But what would SLASH be if we didn't turn such difficult situations into some exciting adventures? When the end of the world is imminent, we try everything to prevent it, or at least spend it with the people we like the most. We find hope where we thought it was already lost, unexpectedly meet loved ones we thought we'd never see again and do everything we can to save our loved ones, no matter how hopeless the situation seems. And if the end is inevitable, there's nothing to stop us choosing a new life, is there? If irradiated chickens, robot monsters and the approaching apocalypse don't sound like fun, let us convince you otherwise and let SLASH turn the end of the world into an entertaining rollercoaster ride!
