Motståndaren

Fearing persecution, Iman flees from Iran to Sweden with his wife Maryam and their daughters Asal and Sahar. To secure their future, the former professional athlete joins the local wrestling team in hopes of obtaining a special residence permit — much to Maryam’s dismay. While Iman trains and works as a food delivery driver on the side, he grows increasingly distant from Maryam, who longs to return to her old life in Iran. Tensions rise until Iman is forced to confront the deeper reasons behind his flight.
